Frequently asked

The questions we get most often, answered plainly.

01 Where is CGF Films located?

CGF Films is an independent motion picture company based in New York City, United States. We work on location wherever a project takes us.

02 Where can I learn more about your films?

Start with the filmography. For full cast and crew on our features, the Internet Movie Database is the authoritative listing. Release news goes out on social media first.

03 I’m an actor. Can I send my headshot and resume?

Yes, please do. We’re always looking for new talent, and submissions to casting@cgffilms.com do get read. Include a headshot, a resume, and a reel or link if you have one.

04 Who do I contact about distribution or sales?

All distribution, sales, festival and licensing enquiries go to info@cgffilms.com. Tell us the territory and the window you’re asking about.

05 Can I submit a screenplay, story or idea?

No – and this one isn’t negotiable. For legal reasons CGF Films does not accept or consider unsolicited creative submissions of any kind: screenplays, treatments, stories, movie ideas or music materials. Anything sent to us by email or post will not be read or responded to unless it comes from someone with an active working relationship with the company. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, and we genuinely wish you the best of luck placing it.

06 Do you take on commissioned projects?

Yes. We direct and finish music videos, commercials and branded media between features, and we take on post-production and visual effects work on its own. See commissioned work for what we cover and what to send in a brief.

07 Do you do post-production or VFX for other people’s films?

We do. Editorial, visual effects, set extension, color and sound – the same in-house pipeline we built for our own features. Write to info@cgffilms.com with the format, the runtime and the deadline.

08 Do you use AI?

We do, and we are open about it. We treat AI as a collaborator like any other: it is briefed, it is directed, and what it produces is kept only when it earns its place in the picture. In practice that means the unglamorous end of post – cleanup and roto, look development, iteration passes. What it does not do is decide anything. The writing, the directing and the performances are human, every facet of the film is a decision somebody here made, and we do not make generated films. That is our position, not a rule for anyone else’s set. The tools are available to everyone now, which is exactly why they are no longer what separates one film from another – a prompt is easy, and knowing which take carries a scene is not. More on how we work.

09 My question isn’t here.
